Carmo Cinema Aparts is a cosy and character-filled accommodation set in a traditional Portuguese building in the heart of Porto’s historic centre, just steps from Praça de Carlos Alberto. Combining comfort, charm and a passion for cinema, the property offers an authentic local experience in one of the city’s most vibrant and cultural areas.
Each apartment is fully equipped to ensure comfort, tranquillity and a relaxing stay, allowing guests to explore Porto at their own pace with complete privacy and independence. Inspired by iconic cinema, the interiors blend character and warmth, creating a stylish yet homely atmosphere — a true private retreat in the heart of the city, beyond the traditional accommodation experience.
To preserve the building’s original architectural features, the property has multiple floors and access is via stairs only.
We are passionate about cinema, travel and creating meaningful guest experiences. Located at Praça de Carlos Alberto 104, Carmo Cinema Aparts sits in a lively and cultural neighbourhood filled with cafés, galleries, restaurants and bookshops. The iconic Clérigos Tower is approximately 350 metres away, while Livraria Lello is just 300 metres from the property. Aliados Avenue is around 500 metres away, and São Bento Station approximately 650 metres, making it easy to explore the city and reach the airport. The Ribeira riverside can be reached on foot in about 1 kilometre. Despite its central location, the area maintains an authentic and charming Porto atmosphere.
